The Diet Starts Tomorrow
Added: Monday 16 Jan, 2012For all of you who made a healthy eating resolution for the New Year and are berating yourselves for still being only at the thinking stage – We have Good News!!
Apparently, according to celebrity psychologist Dr. Linda Papadopoulos, those of us who are already smugly nibbling Ryvita (other crackers are available) for lunch and clearing the cupboards of the Christmas excesses, are more likely to abandon our new regime within two weeks than those of us who are putting it off for another day (or two, or three). The reason being that the beginning of January can be very stressful what with getting back to work and school, feeling the financial strain of the festivities, and generally feeling the need to hibernate.
But that’s not to say that the rest of us should relax, we still need to make the most of the New Year, new start mentality and make sure that we start our healthy eating by mid January to ensure that 45% of us will see it through for more than 6 weeks. The most important thing is to be realistic so as long as you are stocking up on your fruit and veg, drinking lots of water, and cutting down on your fats, you should keep on the straight and narrow.
